Pint of bitter
PINT OF BITTER
Clark Terry - music
Les Harris, Jr - lyrics
We’re all going down the pub.
To grab a bite then we’ll hit the clubs.
Grab a pint of bitter if you please.
Order up some fish and chips.
I’m looking forward to that first sip.
London is my favorite place to be.
Bartender pull me one more pint out of the cask.
Then he brought one more, there was no need to ask.
Maybe we can skip the clubs.
I dig the vibe in this corner pub.
One more pint of bitter if you please.
Oh London, how I’ve missed you.
From Mayfair to Soho, Each time that I travel across the pond,
London waves it’s magic wand.
Picadilly Circus
I feel alive dig the history and royalty and then take the tube down to the West End,
see a show and then it’s off to hear some jazz at Ronnie Scott’s,
or just go down to the pub.
Oh Britannia, the very essence of life whoever tires of you tires of life.
Visit the palace, God Save The Queen.
Then I’ll take some day trips out to Windsor and Surrey, Liverpool.
Then back to London straight to the pub.
And ask the bartender, one shepherds pie,
and pint of bitter from the cask.
